Little League Charter Opportunity and Availability

Little League energy and excitement continue to grow throughout Northwest Indiana with the Merger of Districts One and Two!  

Serving Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Jasper and Newton Counties, Indiana District One is your portal to the Little League World Series, offering  the opportunity to establish a charter with the world’s largest and most respected youth sports organization.

A charter with Little League gives your community membership in a special organization.  Little League is the only youth sports program ever granted a charter by the United States Congress.  More than 20,000 teams take part each year in the Little League International tournament, with teams reaching one of the seven true Baseball and Softball World Championships, and it is only possible for leagues chartered with Little League International.  

It’s not ALL about softball, though.  Little League has always placed the emphasis on the importance of fun, safety, and camaraderie.  Keep in mind that membership in Little League gives your community access to initiatives such as the Little League Manager/Coach Education Program, ASAP (A Safety Awareness Program), the Challenger Division for intellectually and physically disabled children, the Little League Child Protection Program, and much more.

Indiana District One has open opportunities for chartering Little League Baseball AND Softball programs in the Griffith, Cedar Lake, and Lowell Communities.  With great fanfare and the nationwide growth of Little League softball, there are fantastic opportunities to charter a Little League Softball Program in the Highland, Munster, Dyer Schererville, Merrillville, Crown Point, St. John, and Hobart communities!
